CustoMem announced as UK Materials science award winner 2017

We're excited to announce (belatedly, apologies!) CustoMem as the winner of the Venture Prize by the Worshipful Company of Armourers & Brasiers. The Armourers and Brasiers' Company was established in 1322 as one of the London Livery companies, and have a strong track record of funding cutting edge materials science research in the UK. We're honoured to have CustoMem's targeted adsorbents recognised as the UK's most promising materials spinout by their team of world leading experts including Professor Bill Bonfield and Cambridge-based Materials Scientist Professor Sir Colin Humphreys, former president of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.

Prominent players in UK synbio sector, CustoMem included

We’re delighted to announce that thanks to our team's hard work over recent months, we've been highlighted as one of the prominent players in the UK. We're highlighted among household names including Sphere Fluidics, Oxitec, Oxford Genetics and Synthace in a recent blog post by SynbiCITE. It's great to see our committed work being noticed by such the UK's leading organisations. Now, we're keen to put in more progress towards making novel adsorbents for industrial water treatment with unparalleled performance.

CustoMem at the KTN Showcase

Our CTO Ben had the opportunity to speak at the Knowledge Transfer Networks Chemistry and Industrial Biotech showcase alongside other exciting UK companies. Promoting biotechnology and the transition to a more sustainable, circular economy are key aims for Innovate UK. It was amazing to see so many great companies making progress in these areas. Thanks to KTN's Amy Tayler for the invitation and the photo. https://twitter.com/AmyElizaTayler/status/910830032062382085
