CustoMem is pleased to announce and welcome our new lead water engineer, Dr Anyela Ramirez-Canon, whose role is to oversee and develop our water engineering solutions. As we continue to scale up production and treatment solutions, our lead water engineer will be responsible for developing and standardizing CustoMem’s adsorbent media and treatments for customer trial and implementation.
She has expressed her enthusiasm for joining the team, "My research and industrial experience have focused on supporting organizations and industries to overcome technical and technological challenges related to water pollution. I am excited to contribute to Customem’s vision and eager to join their innovative journey towards sustainable bio-based solutions for the selective removal of water pollutants."
Dr Ramirez-Canon is a Chartered Chemical Engineer and a Chartered Member of the IChemE with over 7 years of industry experience. She achieved an integrated PhD and MRes with distinction in Sustainable Chemical Technologies from the University of Bath. Previously, she completed a MSc in Environmental Engineering at the National University of Colombia and a BEng in Chemical Engineering at the University of America in Colombia.
Dr Ramirez-Canon's research focuses on the development of materials for environmental remediation, the degradation of industrial organic pollutants, the detection of micropollutants, and the reuse of wastewater. Her research experience provides an ideal match with CustoMem's goal for further technical advancement.
