Seconded from the Heritage Group’s (HG) Research Group, Ben Woodworth has travelled to London, UK to support the Puraffinity team with deep analytical and advanced materials product development expertise.
Read on to learn about Ben’s background and his thoughts on taking an operational role for 3 months in a rapidly growing startup.
Ben completed his B.S. in Biochemistry at Marshall University where his research involved engineering plant systems to improve biofuel production. He joined the Heritage Research Group in 2016 where he is currently employed as a research manager.
Ben and his team focus on process improvement and material development for Heritage Group’s environmental, refining, and specialty chemical companies. With over 10 years of analytical chemistry experience, Ben also serves as a technical consultant for HG Ventures' partner companies.
When asked about his experience working with Puraffinity, Ben adds:

Outside of the lab, Ben enjoys hiking, swimming, and hunting. He and his wife, Lauren, live in Franklin, Indiana with their two dogs.
